Australian Company Wins Seating Contract for United States Navy
UES International Pty Ltd, through their seating division has won a substantial contract for a range of newly designed standard seats for the United States Government JHSV [Joint High Speed Vessel]. These vessels will be built by Austal USA in Mobile, Alabama, the US arm of the Australian icon, Austal Ships. This outstanding achievement is yet another testimony to UES's success as a global innovator, manufacturer and supplier.
Well-focused design meetings and rapid turn around in engineering modifications were quickly communicated half-way across the world in clear and precise 3-D CAD drawings. UES Seating Division were very competitive in every criteria; innovation of design, light weight, price and strength , having again passed and exceeded the most punishing of IMO (International Marine Organization) crash tests.
The seats have several very special requirements, as the embarked troops could be seated for up to 10~12 hours. This required new ground-breaking ideas in design and manufacturing for a product that can proudly take its place in any First Class transport application.
